Someones goose is getting fat but it isnt mine. I have just coughed up £50 as my contribution towards two Christmas prezzies. I usually send the four Grandchildren who live away £20 each but two of them are older now and they can't get much for that money these days. I thought I might make something extra for them this year. I always make for the GGrandkids and they are quite needy. I make for both AA's too. Thats as far as I have thought this year.

Pre Soap, we always did Christmas, 25 family members arriving on Christmas Eve night, staying until Boxing Day morning.

I made the mincemeat, Christmas Puddings and cake on Stir Sunday every year.

Always bought the pressies the week before Christmas, paid on credit card, so that I wouldn't have to pay bill until Feb pay cheque had gone in.

Nowadays, I am so busy that Christmas takes a back seat for us personally - our last event is on Christmas Eve, so it is usually just OH and I, with any of the boys who are at a loose end.

We do the big family meal on NYD - 8-10 courses, we sit down at 5.00pm and get up about midnight.

I do miss doing the big Christmas though:-(
